A Few Important Developments
Change in Time
Due to scheduling conflicts, the time for the Priestly Ordination has changed to 9:00 am Saturday, May 23rd. The only change is that it will begin one hour earlier. We are planning on embedding the livestream video here on our main page, but you can also view it on the Diocesan YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/user/dioceseofwichita
Party in the Park
Unfortunately, due to social distancing restrictions, we have made the decision to cancel the Party in the Park, which would have taken place the Saturday evening after Priestly Ordination, at this time.
DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS,
May 15, 2020
Deacons Trevor, Hayden, and Luke are happy announce that we will be ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ on May 23, 2020 at 9:00 am (CST). However, due to the necessity of maintaining social distance protocols, there will be a few changes.
Ordination will take place at the Church of the Magdalen in Wichita and will be a ticketed event. These tickets will be mailed out in the next couple of weeks. We are saddened by the unfortunate reality that not all of our friends will be able to attend, but very excited to be ordained priests. These circumstances, as strange as they are, are the circumstances in which God has invited us to receive this gift that we have been waiting for and looking forward to for so long. It is with trust and love that we embrace these circumstances and offer ourselves at the altar, to be ordained priests forever.
We are grateful for your support and prayers, and we hope that you will continue to accompany us in prayer as ordination approaches, even though you may not be able to be with us physically. The Diocese will live-stream our ordination Mass, and we will be sure that the link is posted here. You can find information on each of our individual plans for Masses of Thanksgiving by clicking our names under the "First Masses" heading at the top of this page.
Again, we are so grateful for your presence in our lives. Please continue to pray for us, and know that we will be thinking of and praying for you in the coming days as we prepare to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders.
