I am planning on celebrating my First Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, May 24th at 3:00pm at St. Patrick’s in Parsons as was originally scheduled.  Unfortunately, attendance will have to be limited, based on the diocesan guidelines for the celebration of Mass at this time and the size of the parish.

Of course, I wish that this first celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass could physically include all of my friends and family.  I hope to offer several Masses of Thanksgiving at the various parishes that I’ve been blessed to serve at over these past years.  I’ll try to inform your communities when those might be as the current situation develops.  Thankfully, my First Mass will be livestreamed, just as the Ordination Mass.  

I’m praying for the health and safety of you all.  I’m praying that we might return a stronger Church on the other side of all of this.  Most of all, however, I’m praying that I might be a worthy offering to God the Father as I inch closer to being conformed to Christ in the Sacrament of Holy Orders as a priest, forever.
